Not many Grandmasters maintain their own websites, but some (including yours truly!) do. Recently I came across a website run by Dutch GM Harmen Jonkman. It contains a lot of photos and a link to international tournament calendar (also run by Jonkman) - a truly fantastic resource!
While some GMs produce their own websites, our more-famous colleagues have fans who do it for them! J For example, our reader Peter Svidler has an unofficial website, run by another CT reader - Pablo Sierra Fuentes (Spain). It's well worth a visit!
For those keen on chess computer programs, Arena Chess GUI might be of interest.
Debates between chess players often get heated, but for quite a while I have not seen anything even close to the polemics between IM Boris Schipkov and GM Evgeny Sveshnikov. If you read Russian, have a look at Schipkov's post at the Chess Siberia website.
In the past there were some thematic tournaments held, when players had to start from a particular opening position. Now, with Internet it's much easier to arrange such tournaments and this is exactly what a new site called THORG. Have a look - perhaps one of your favourite openings is being tested there and you can join in!
Yesterday our editor Graham Brown sent me a link to some old book reviews by Tony Miles - great fun to read! The reviews are part of the Kingpin website, where I also found two interviews - with Michael Adams and Yasser Seirawan. While the interviews are not recent, they are still interesting. BTW, Kingpin (UK) is a hilarious magazine - buy it when you get a chance!
