Let’s help the Struggling Grandmaster!
Every day grim news come from the chess world... Recently famous players Alexander Khalifman and Alexander Morozevich announced their departure from competitive chess and now it seems that another loss is just round the corner... Outstanding grandmaster and teacher, publisher and author – Alexander Baburin – is at risk to become homeless!
His house, located in one of Dublin’s most deprived areas (Blackrock) badly needs repair and is virtually falling apart (see our photo). If we don’t stop this process, GM Baburin will have no roof above his head and won’t be able to produce his splendid Chess Today newspaper. And this happens on the verge of the launch of two new excellent and much-needed publications – Chess Yesterday and Chess Tomorrow! Let us not allow the brute forces of nature to tamper with plans of our great contemporary! LetŐs land a helping hand to our favourite Grandmaster!! Please send your money (checks, bank drafts and postal orders) to the following address: Russia, Moscow, Maliy Kazanets Street, bank ‘The Point of No Returns’, account of Eugene Genkin.
