Coffee Break Chess 31 is out!

In February 1999 I began to publish a free e-mail newsletter called 'Coffee Break Chess'. The idea was to share analysis of interesting games and positions, as well as links to curious Internet sites, with my friends. The response was very favourable and my readership began to grow fast. At the moment I have over 1,100 readers and the growth continues. You comments about the newsletter are always very welcome - please e-mail me at baburin@hotmail.com with your suggestions and questions. I will be happy to hear from you and will try to answer all messages!

From the very beginning I encouraged Web masters to post CBC on their pages, provided they do not charge to see it and also show my copyright notice. Soon I received a few requests and now my newsletter is posted on several sites. Here are some of them:

germany3.gif (192 bytes) http://www.marochess.de - Manfred Rosenboom hosts CBC and have translated some issues in into German.
spain3.gif (193 bytes) http://www.geocities.com/~ajeinteg - here you can find CBC both in English and in Spanish, thanks to Argentinean chess enthusiasts.
nethland3.gif (197 bytes) http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Dungeon/6860/index.html Here you will find all the Cbc's in Dutch courtesy of Leander Laruelle.
france3.gif (207 bytes) http://www.multimania.com/chessop - at this site there are a few issues of CBC in French, thanks to Jonathan Faydi.
http://correspondencechess.com/marconi - Canadian Ralph Marconi was the first person to post CBC on the Web. Ralph's site is mainly about correspondance chess.
http://www.chessopolis.com - this is great site for chess links and it also hosts CBC.
http://www.schacknyheter.com hosts CBC in Swedish.

Though now I have my own Web site, everyone is still welcome to post CBC on his or her page - this will allow more people to read and enjoy it!

You can see all issues of 'Coffee Break Chess' on my Web site. If you like the newsletter, why not to subscribe to it and have it delivered to your mail inbox every time a new issue comes out? There are roughly two issues per month, depending on my schedule. When it's printed out, one issue usually consists of 5-7 A4 pages. I also attach pdf file. This enables people, whose software does not read messages with images properly, to view CBC with free software called Acrobat Reader.

You can subscribe to 'Coffee Break Chess' by using this

Click to subscribe to Coffeebreak Chess. Hosted by Yahoo Groups.

It is also possible to receive my newsletter via post. This may be ideal for chess clubs, which can then store it in club's premises. You may also consider giving CBC subscription as a birthday present to your chess friend, who has no Internet access yet! To subscribe your club or your friend, please send me a cheque for £30/$45 (for 30 issues) to 3 Eagle Hill, Blackrock, Co. Dublin, Ireland. In your letter please provide a clear address, where CBC should be sent to, and specify what issue of CBC your subscription should start with. Feel free to e-mail me at baburin@hotmail.com to ask for more details or to get a quote in different currency. Hope to hear from you soon!
